Amarillo, come celebrate with us. Amarillo Social Club’s grand-opening celebration runs Thursday, October 15, through Monday, October 19, 2026, and we’re inviting familiar faces and first-time visitors to join us. We’ll start with an open house and ribbon cutting, then keep the celebration going with tournament perks, cash-game specials and a Monday-night freeroll.

If you’ve been curious about the club, Thursday is a good time to stop in, meet people and get a feel for the room. Bring a friend, ask a few questions and help us mark the occasion. All event times below are Central.

Thursday: Come In and Say Hello

Our open house on Thursday, October 15, runs from 4 to 7 p.m., with the ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. We’ll have a taco truck, snacks and drinks, plus bourbon tastings by M&R Liquor.

New to poker? A beginner table with merchandise prizes will be part of the afternoon. It’s a welcoming place to start if you’ve watched the game but haven’t sat down at a live table, or if you’d simply like to learn a little more before choosing a game.

We’ll also hold merchandise raffles at 5:30, 6, 6:30 and 7 p.m. You must be present to win, so keep those drawing times in mind when planning your visit.

Friday and Saturday: Make a Day of It

The tournament celebration continues on Friday, October 16, with events at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Each Friday tournament entry comes with a $10 gift card. Good for food, table time, and merchandise.

Sunday and Monday: Keep the Celebration Going

Join us on Sunday, October 18, at 3 p.m. for the Free-Buy Tournament. Then we’ll finish the five-day celebration with the $500 freeroll on Monday, October 19, at 6:30 p.m.

Your Friday and Saturday tournament play counts toward Monday: earn 50,000 chips for each tournament you play on those two days toward the freeroll. Keep Monday evening in mind when making your weekend plans, and ask the club about participation details.

A Cash-Game Special Through Sunday

Cash-game players can enjoy half-price table time Thursday through Sunday. Grand-opening cash play features $1/$2 No-Limit Texas Hold’em, with a $50 minimum and $100 maximum buy-in.

The series includes 18 ring events overall. The summer bracelet series is wrapping up, but the live tournament calendar is already moving into a packed stretch of Circuit and World Poker Tour stops. Here is what poker players should have on their radar for the weeks ahead.

WSOP Circuit action rolls through August

The official WSOP schedule lists a busy run of domestic and international Circuit events. Harrah’s Cherokee opens August 6 and runs through August 17, followed by Harrah’s Atlantic City from August 13–24 and Horseshoe Tunica from August 20–31.

WPT prepares for Cambodia and Cyprus
